Sweet sweet Vitamin D!

I have learned over the years that I respond drastically (by way of super elevated mood) to Vitamin D.  Especially Sunshine vitamin D.  Today is bright sunny day, and I can feel it all over me.  I just want to go sit and bask in the shiny brightness and absorb the good vibes.  Unfortunately, I'm stuck at my desk.  Last night went well, aside from the Sour Patch Kids that were left in the car after the movie that called to me and threw themselves down my throat.  Onery little things.  Had a Healthy Choice thing for dinner, and ate a sugar free cookie bar while chilling with Kel.  Although it said right on the package - not a diet food.  Funny.

Tonight's Workout:  Had a session with Brooke today, since she's competing in the Buckeye Classic Fitness competition and will be out of town Friday.  I'll do a workout with Linda tonight, then my tap class.

Tonight's Dinner:  Another Healthy Choice dinner...I'm actually craving it.  Yikes.

KO KO

Movie night was lovely, and we all had a great time.  Kel ordered pizza and waited to eat his until I got home from Zumba...how sweet!  I budgeted calories all day for it, and it paid off.  I lost 1 of the 2 I gained.  Success!  The words "it's starting to feel like home again" were spoken last night, and my knees about buckled under me.  That is a HUGE step in the right direction!  He's coming home tonight after golf to stay over...which also makes me very, very happy.  I'm being cautiously optimistic...

Tonight's Workout:  I went to the gym today and did an hour of Zumba practice...totally worked up a sweat and got the heart pumping.  Tonight I think I'll skip the DVD and do my own strength routine with Linda.  I'm sure she'll love that...lol

Tonight's Dinner:  Since Kelly is coming over, I'm not sure.  There's chicken in the fridge, veggies in the freezer and shake n bake in the cupboard (can't say that without thinking Talladega Nights anymore...shake n bake baby!)

Experiment done, back to the grind.

So I experimented this weekend with a dangerous idea, and I now know never to do it again.  I was alone, no kids and no Kelly, and that always spells disaster for my eating.  So I ate a bowl of cereal for breakfast and had McDonalds for dinner on both days.  Nothing else, but maybe a piece of cheese.  With that being all that I ate...I gained 2 pounds.  Results of this experiment?  McDonalds is Evil and I should not indulge even if it is the only calories I eat for the day.  Oh, my choice?  Double cheeseburger meal large with a Coke.  I got that out of my system so now I can get back on track and lose the 2 pounds I gained.

I did get 2 more pages in my wish / bucket book scrapbook done.  Should've worked on it more to avoid the food trap.  I need to print off pictures so I can 'completely' finish #'s 1 and 2 which are #1 Take a trip to Las Vegas and #2 Dip my toes in the ocean.  Checkaroo - both done.  So now I can print the pics and journal the pages and feel a sense of accomplishment.  I'm ready to do page (all are double page layouts) 20 and sometime soon I'll post the first 20 things on my list.  Some are very mundane, as I've led a fairly sheltered and boring life.  I'm trying to think outside the box and put things on my list that are way outside my comfort zone.  There's a couple on there, but not nearly enough.

Tonight's Workout: I have my Monday session with Brooke (who I need to get a photo of and post her on here as she's become a very important part of my weight loss effort) and then Zumba tonight...Yay!!

Tonight's Dinner:  Hmm...Kelly is coming over and invited us all to go see a Movie for a family night.  Surprising to say the least, but it made me uber happy!  So I'm not sure about dinner, but I'm planning on keeping on track...those 2 pounds gotta go!

Goal #1 within reach

So my first goal was to get to my wedding weight of 197...as you can see up there...I am a half a pound away.  Very exciting!  I bit the bullet and registered for the Zumba certification class being held June 5th in Sandusky.  Oddly enough, I already have teaching opportunities lined up, which is fan-freaking-tastic!  If the scale continues to be my friend, I'll be in teaching shape by the time the class comes.  The situation with Kel has me dealing with some pent up anger at the moment.  I have not taken it out on my kids, or anyone for that matter thank goodness, but have not been able to vent it out either.  That's just a bad situation waiting to happen.

Tonights Workout:  Hopefully Zumba practice...doing my own routines and getting them fully committed to memory.

Tonight's Dinner:  I'm guessing a frozen Healthy Choice of some sort.  There's 2 in there, I just can't remember what they are...chicken and meatloaf I think.
